 On Sunday August 21st the SEVWA Series made it's stop at Motormile Dragway. What was so special about this race was the fact that if you won, your purse payout would be DOUBLED. That's right folks a DOUBLE PURSE PAYOUT to all winners in the bracket classes. For those of you who attended I want to say thank you both professional and personally. The only way to keep these races going is to come and attend. And for those of you who did not come, SHAME ON YOU. I know the economy is horrible right now but K & L Motorsports generously offered up a DOUBLE PURSE for the winners to try and increase car count and make for a better show. For the Super Pro Class it was $2,000 to win.

 On Sunday April 10th we awoke to a cloudy, foggy, drizzly morning. However just a few hours later the clouds would part and the sun would slowly burn our winter hibernated skin. The show car area as usual was jam packed and the vendor and swap meet area was one of the largest we've seen in years. As you walked through the drag pits a few stand out cars were seen unloading from their trailers. The surprise visit was Ken Fisher of Fisher Buggies. Ken would later set the National MPH Record at 163mph. He had also run quick enough to set the ET record but unfortunately couldn't back up his 4.62 et.
